Belden Cable was revamping their web presence along with their eCatalog section of their site. FCS was in charge of the development of the section and hired SilverLining Design for the web interface design. The project not only encompassed the visual interface, but also needed to design elements of the page to showcase information in a clear and simple form.

FCS had created tabbed windows in the browse portion of the eCatalog that would allow the user to see shopping cart contents and an innovative "Compare" window. The user could select products that would update themselves into the compare window and track the items as the customer shopped other sections of the eCatalog. These windows were AJAX implementations to allow data to be inserted without the page having to reload.

Not only did SilverLining Design need to design the look of the pages, but we needed to clear the clutter that all of this information presented. This is where projects become more than just design. The client needed to present quite a bit of information without bombarding the customer or confusing them. Check out the portfolio page for a snapshot.
